South Polar Lights Steel (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. (SPLCO) is a wholly foreign owned enterprise established in China in 2002 specializing in processing of pickling steel coils, cold-rolled steel coils and thick hot-rolled galvanized steel coils (HGI, 1.5 mm-4.5mm). SPLCO is among the top leading fine steel processing firms capable of producing thick HGI which is considered new material in China with high potentials. The material has been widely accepted and used in the international market since 1992.

Bruce Chen acted as the financial advisor to SPLCO's parent, China Material Technology Limited (Cayman) in its fundraising in 2007 and closed the deal for a total amount of US$16 million as working capital. Institutional Investors include QVT(U.S.A), Temujin Strategic Investment and Shanghai Growth Investment.
